🍲 Instructions — 5 steps, exactly as per original

  1. Pre-heat the jar                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Fill with boiling water, fit the lid and leave to warm — the secret behind truly leak-proof lunch jar recipes.

2

Quick boil

Pop everything into a small saucepan: veg, herbs, stock, noodles and chicken. Bring to a lively boil, stir, and cook just one minute. Skim any froth if you fancy pristine broth.

3
Fill & seal

Tip out the hot water. Ladle soup into the jar until it sits 1 cm below the inner ridge. Screw the lid on firmly. Your healthy lunch recipe for thermos will now gently finish cooking for at least 1 hour (up to 6).

4
Serve safely

Consume within six hours, seasoning to taste right before you tuck in. The noodles should be tender, the chicken succulent and the broth aromatic.

5
Enjoy!

Whether it’s a desk-side pick-me-up or one of your trusty hot food ideas for kids school lunch, savour every spoonful.

💡 Tip or Advice

  • Veg swap: Frozen sweetcorn or petits pois work a treat if you’re low on celery.
  • Boost the flavour: A squeeze of lemon and a pinch of parsley just before serving brighten the broth.
  • Make-ahead hack: Freeze diced chicken and pre-measured veg in zip bags; empty into the pan straight from the freezer on busy mornings — an effortless Zojirushi lunch jar meal.
